With the arrival of 713, that concludes the events for the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450.
Congratulations to David Fellows and Mark Bergamin (2) on their outright win, Travis Robinson and Paul Currie (3) on second and Brad Prout (9) on third place.
We would like to congratulate the Western Desert Racers on the successful running of the 2010 ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450. A big thank you goes to all the volunteers that are an essential part of staging an event of this magnitude.
Round 2 of the Australian Off Road Championship will take place on the June long weekend and is a point to point race from Alice Springs to Finke in the Northern Territory. Stay up to date with all the happenings from the Tattersall's Finke Desert Race on offroadracing.com.au.

The last vehicle has finished the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450. Tanya and Ian French (713) have crossed the line in great style rounding at a terrific weekend of racing.

Terry and Annabelle Hosking (592) in the Turtle Motor Sport Ford Ranger have completed all laps of the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450.
There is one competing vehicle left on the track, the 713 entry of Tania and French. The Filthy Racing Toyota Landcruiser sponsored by Yokohama, ARB, Filthy Clothing, Works Automotive, WA Cleanskins, Aliclad is Rons Post and Mad Micks Mile. They've got about a third of the track left to go.
The 34 cars that have completed this afternoons section are lined up infront of the spectators in victory lane waiting for the 713 entry to come home.

The second of the two car Chapman Off Road team, Clayton Chapman and Adam McGuire (701) have made it a 100% finishing rate for the team with the two young guns nursing the Performance 2WD home with a lack of clutch. Clayton and Adam are currently attending the Young Drivers Program at the Australian Instutite of Sport.

Report from the track checkpoints that the last car to leave the start line on their last lap, Tania and Ian French in car 713 is between checkpoints 2 and 3 and still continuing at a competitive pace.

Troy Johnstone and Christopher Henke in car 205 are holding up their end of the South Australian contingents honours by finishing the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 - 2010. The Mount Gambian South Australians will have a proud trip home after their memorable finish here in the dusty West Australian wheat belt that is Hyden.

Glen and Jay Ward in car 469 are putting the town of Wagin on the map with their impressive performance at the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 - 2010. A great effort from the father and son western Australian team.

Gerald and Joanna Reid in Car 209 have proven that perseverence is the key to endurance racing. They have suffered many setbacks this weekend including the flat tyre in front of spectators on the inside arena on their last lap to bring their super 1650 buggy home to the finish line here at Smithy's place.

Current Australian extreme 4WD class champion Colin Hunter has completed the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 - 2010. Colin's chase for championship points has got off to a rocky start taking second place in class with Rob Chapman 802 securing first in class.

It has just been reported on recovery radio that unfortunately the Victorian entry of Bernie Clohesy and Wendy Hersey car 570 has retired from the event for reasons unknown. We will let you know as soon as recovery advises us.

Darryl Smith and Michael Matthews in Car 202 have completed the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 - 2010. This is the first attempt for Smith at the Western Australian event. It is great to see so many eastern staters attending this magnificent race.

Report on the Erceg Motorsport Chenowth of Luke Erceg - car 50 - he has had to retire from the event after being hit from behind by a following vehicle in the blinding dust. Unfortunately Luke was unable to continue racing.

Long time off roader Trevor Copeland in car 999 has proven that his steady approach to racing pays off. Trevor consistently finishes events and has once again finished the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 - 2010.

Closely behind Chapman was 55 entry of Matt Coleman and Shawn Teagle in the Alpha buggy. Matt has shaken off his Hyden voodoo after his massive rollover here in 2009. This is a great start to the Coleman Motor Sport team 2010 championship campaign.

Car 802 - Rob Chapman and Ross Challacombe from Queensland have finished taking out extreme 4WD class for the event. A great effort for the team given they struggled all weekend with only 2WD.

Werner and Jeremey in Car 201 have shown that their trip from Sydney NSW was worth the effort in their attempt to back up their 2009 class championship victory.
The 248 entry of Peter Stevenson and Steve Barrington has also crossed the line. The results for the super 1650 buggy class will be close - stay tuned.

The 32 entry of Michael Marson and Colin Chapman from Townsville in Queensland have finished the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 - 2010 event. Michael had an interesting journey here to Hyden from Queensland and promises to write a race report on his return home!!!
Congratulations to Michael and Colin as it is a huge feat to come all this way and race competitively and finish the event.

Ben and Kelly Erceg in the Coastal Express southern Cross prolite Car 150 have finished the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 - 2010 event. Unfortunately for the two car Erceg racing team, the Chenowth probuggy of son Luke in car 50 has been reported by recovery as being under tow back to the pits. At this stage, reasons are unknown.

Al Gerardi and Rod Kay in the Ultra Tune Saber buggy (car 109) has completed his first ever attempt at the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 - 2010. Al and Rod are from Melbourne, Victoria and are planning to compete in all AORC rounds this year.

Justin and Melissa Watt in Car 101 in the Albins Off Road Gear Ballarat Collision Repair Jimco have charged across the finish line. Well done Justin and Melissa!
Close on their tail was the Outer Bounds racing founder Brian Robinson and Trent Gilbertson in car 84. Brian is the third of the three car team to finish the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 - 2010. A magnificent effort from the team. This proves their immaculate car preparation does pay off!!!

Rick Bramley and Mary Woodward from Adelaide in Car 104 have finished the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 - 2010. They are the first prolite buggy to finish the event. We will await the confirmation of outright provisional times, when the rest of the field returns to the finish line.

Brad Mudge and Ashley Smimh in Car 48 have been reported with a wire broken on their starter motor, recovery are now heading their way. Have not received confirmation on whether they'll finish their last lap.

Just when it was safe to go back onto the track...the JAWS stickered buggy of Steven Sanderson and Guy Pepper from the Northern Territory crossed the finish line. Sanderson is driving an ex-Dave Fellows Jimco buggy.

Brad Cooper and Darian Smith in their Bat Spec 2 probuggy have finished the event in great style. Brad Cooper is the major sponsor of the event and navigator Darian Smith is eldest son of property owners and is due to be a Father in August.

Closely followed by Eric Philips and Gary Friend in Car 96 who blitzed the line. Eric had fuel issues yesterday but fixed overnight to continue racing today.

Current Australian Off Road Champions, Shannon and Ian Rentsch in Car 1, have finished the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 after sustaining a flat tyre on the last lap. A disappointing run for the son/father team from Warrnambool, Victoria who were aiming for a better finish in their chase for a third in a row Hyden victory and looking for valuable championship points in their hunt for a championship hatrick.

Beau Robinson and Roy Lukes in the Outer Bounds BF Goodrich Jimco has finished the event. A great effort! Beau finished fifth in the 2009 Australian Off Road Championship and is looking to better that this year.

Danny Auricht and Grant Connelly in Car 8 have completed all laps of the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450, provisionally taking 4th outright. This is Danny's return to offroad racing after a few years lay off to build a new car. He would have to be thrilled with his weekend drive and shows that he has still 'got it'.

Brad Prout in the Red Devil Unicap 2010 Jimco has just finished provisionally taking third outright in the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450. A fantastic effort for the first run of the new Red Devil Unicap 2010 Jimco after the horrific fire Prout endured at the 2009 Tattersalls Finke Desert Race. Prout spent the rest of 2009 waiting for his new Jimco to arrive from the USA.

A great start to Dave's Australian championship campaign. His first time navigator, Mark, has done an extraordinary job to guide the awesome natural driving ability of Dave Fellows home to the finish line.

Rob Chapman and Ross Challacombe in Car 802 have commenced their second lap. They are doing it tough with only 2WD in their production 4WD Mitsubishi Pajero. Chapman's are from Brisbane in Queensland and had an easy drive to the event. Son Clayton from car 701 said "we arrived a day early, and we don't know how???"

Peter 'Havachat' Stevenson in Car 248 has crossed the start/finish line, going through the first jump and hit the tyres on the second chicane. They bounced off and continued racing. Peter is from Portland in Victoria and is having a great time here at Hyden.

The 570 entry of Bernie Clohesy and Wendy Hersey all the way from Sealake, in the Mallee regions of central Victoria have crossed the line to begin their last lap of the ARB - Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 - 2010. The couple are over here on holidays and decided to bring the race car.

Werner and Jeremy in Car 201 are the first super 1650 buggy to finish lap one. Werner's normal navigator, wife Sue, is pregnant with their second child and will be unable to compete in the 2010 championship.

Michael Marson and Colin Chapman in Car 32, in their Marson Motorsports Kadco KH1 sponsored by Kadco, CSR Ethonal, JB Automotive, AMME, Brennons Tyrepower have made the 5,050 kilometre trip from Townsville to compete here at Hyden. They are hoping for a good show and to gather valuable points towards the championship.

The off-road rush, Mickey Thompson truck of Chris Western and Stewy Bishop 401 are looking to defend their 2009 Australian class extreme 2WD championship by class victory here this weekend. The car and drivers appear to be holding up to the tough conditions that the track is offering.

Scott Schiller in Car 971 is well on his way to securing a ARB Pinjarra Engineering Hyden 450 finish. Schiller is closely followed by fellow South Australian Ben and Kelly Erceg in 150, and Andrew Mowles in 135.
Andrew has now passed the father and daugher Erceg team on the first jump heading out to finish the last lap. Andrew rolled in this mornings' section but recovered and continued on and is putting on a great show of endurance racing to be on the last lap here at Hyden.

Car 907 - Mark Eveleigh has crossed the start/finish line. Tremendous effort from the NSW driver. His last drive at a national event resulted in a massive roll over and this is his first attempt at the championship since then.
Michael Collins in Car 12 has finished on the tail of 907, chasing him down to secure class points.

Car 109 - Al Gerardi, sponsored by Ultratune has just finished the first lap of section 3. A tremendous effort from the Victorian prolite who is planning to compete in all AORC events this year.
Car 84 has well and truly in to the last lap now after a quick run past the start/finish line. Brian has made up two positions after passing 12 and 907.
